why i choose this job: i have loved art since 4th grade. i remember getting a letter from a girl named beth - she was talking about how the green color of the trees looked so pretty against the deep gray of the stormy sky. and i saw it clearly in my mind. from then on, i paid attention to how colors have relationships. i went through art school without hardly painting at all. i got a bfa in children's illustration at the university of delaware. painting didn't find me until 2001.

that handsome man next to me: that's greg myers. he walked back into my life in 2009... he is from the east coast - a little state called 'delaware.' he is the most helpful and bighearted person that i have ever known. he has joined forces with me at the studio as the manager. greg does everything that doesn't start with the letter 'p' (paint) i'm not sure how i ever did it without him.

born: in wilmington, nc., with a lot of hometowns growing up. my birthday is february 12th 1975.

i live: in southern illinois... a small town named chester, in between st. louis and carbondale. i live with my love and co-worker, gregory myers, my two children, molly and matthew and our two cats, jersey and sinatra.

may be seen: all day in paint covered clothes, out with kids, driving, singing, looking at the sky.

can't live without: my man, my kids, my family, love, colors, music, trees and the sky.

one fact that you might not know: ...or two:
#1 i really, really hesitate before putting a new background out. "what if no one likes it? what if it is ridiculous?"
#2 i have a slight oral fixation - fingernails / food / beverages...
